We received a request to develop secondary packaging for vials containing a controlled substance used to manage moderate to severe cancer pain across multiple markets. The client specified the need for packaging that ensures the integrity of a 50R vial, given the sensitivity of its contents. Tjoapack was tasked with designing secure secondary and tertiary packaging solutions that prioritize safety and prevent leakage or damage during handling. All materials and processes employed will be optimized to enhance safety throughout the packaging lifecycle.
The project was successfully completed in 16 weeks, four weeks ahead of the standard 20-week lead time. Tjoapack designed custom packaging, including a specialized shipping box, tailored to the client’s specifications and compatible with Tjoapack’s packaging lines. The design process involved close collaboration and co-creation among the client, project managers, solutions team, and production staff. To enhance product safety, Tjoapack manually packaged the vials in small batches, implementing dedicated protocol for this process.
