The challenge of the project revolves around a significant mismatch in the size of the packaging components. Specifically, the leaflet was too large, while the vial was too
small. This caused a problem because, despite the size discrepancy, the leaflet size was non-negotiable and could not be adjusted. Additionally, the project faced a lack
of clear guidelines from the beginning regarding size specifications or packaging configuration, creating further complications in finding a viable solution.
The solution to the identified challenge involved the design and development of a new carton, specifically tailored to meet the customer's needs. This design process was undertaken in close collaboration with the supplier of the packaging materials to ensure precision and alignment with project requirements. The final solution incorporated a dedicated Pick and place vial in an insert with addition of leaflet utilizing ecotray, a sustainable option made from recyclable material. Notably, the tray's design was completed within an expedited timeframe of just 6 weeks. The entire project implementation was successfully completed in 8 weeks, demonstrating exceptional efficiency and speed in addressing the packaging challenges.
