Statement on Covid-19 measures at Tjoapack, February 2021

Tjoapack has been marked a vital business by the Dutch government (production and transportation of medicines). As such, Tjoapack has taken the following preventive measures to protect employees, visitors, contractors, and others in and around the company’s premises. All measures taken will act to ensure business continuity and performance of services.

Visitors

All non-essential visits are to be held via video conferencing.

Audits and authority inspections are classified as essential visits. Number of permitted auditors per audit will be limited to one. Exceptional permissions for up to another one auditor (for a total of two) may be granted upon special request.

In addition to normal visitor rules, essential visitors will have to follow the following procedure upon arrival and during their stay on the premises:

  • Disinfect hands upon entrance to the facility.
  • Wear a mouth mask at all times except when seated at a conference table where the 1,5-meter distance rule applies.
  • Fill-out a form confirming their health status and whereabouts for the last two weeks.

Visitors with symptoms that could indicate Covid-19 (as listed by the RIVM https://www.rivm.nl/coronavirus-covid-19) are barred entry from Tjoapack.

Postage and package deliveries and pickups take place at an unmanned desk at the main entrance to the building.

Warehouse

A dedicated sanitary facility has been assigned for truck drivers and other delivery personnel.

Truck drivers and delivery personnel are instructed to keep 1,5-meter distance from Tjoapack employees and must wear a mouth mask.

Truck drivers and delivery personnel are barred from access to Tjoapack’s facility other than use of dedicated sanitary facility.

Suppliers

Safety stock of critical components are re-assessed based on risk analysis.

Supply management provides weekly updates on stock levels and monitoring of covid-19 situation at business-critical suppliers.

Employees

Employees have the responsibility to follow appropriate personal hygiene, to stay at home when experiencing any symptoms, to get tested, and to contact the Tjoapack HR team.

If a Tjoapack employee tests positive for COVID-19, internal contact tracing takes place, with relevant exposed personnel contacted by HR and instructed as to necessary self-confinement and, if needed, testing instructions.

Employee presence within the premises is minimised by encouraging working from home where possible.

All employees present in the building must wear mouth masks at all times except when seated at their workspace or in a meeting room.

Employees must keep 1,5-meter distance at all times.

Employees are encouraged to minimise movement inside the building by utilising Tjoapack’s digital communication tools.

Hygiene

At all central locations in the building additional hand sanitisers have been made available. Instructions as to frequent and thorough hand washing are hanged in all bathrooms.

The facility, including all communal areas, are cleaned on a daily basis.
