Postponement packaging, or late-stage customisation, is a system that allows drug firms to respond to fluctuating market demand as quickly as possible, as products are kept in a standard format until the moment a demand for them emerges. This allows pharmaceutical companies greater flexibility as well as making it easier to cater for highly complex products, such as biotech drugs.

Dexter Tjoa, Director Corporate Strategy, has authored an article in European Pharmaceutical Review outlining the benefits of postponement packaging in the pharmaceutical industry, including the increased efficiency across the entire supply chain.
